SCIENTIFIC AND THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF DEVELOPING THE SPEECH COMPETENCE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS

Abstract

The article analyzes the theoretical foundations for developing the speech competence of students in reading literacy lessons. Speech competence includes the ability of a student to express their thoughts logically, grammatically correctly, and appropriately in both oral and written speech. The article examines the role of reading literacy lessons in shaping speech competence, the importance of working with texts, and pedagogical approaches that consider students’ age characteristics.
