Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) represents a heterogeneous condition characterized by persistent respiratory symptoms and airflow limitation. The disease manifests different phenotypes including emphysematous and bronchitic variants, each presenting unique cardiorespiratory challenges.
