Biliary pancreatitis is one of the most common forms of acute pancreatitis, caused by obstruction of the bile ducts. One of the key diagnostic and therapeutic methods for this pathology is endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). This article discusses the indications for ERCP, its diagnostic and therapeutic roles, possible complications, and alternative methods.
