This three-part article discusses the life of Аbulfath Shahristani, who founded his school in the study of the history of religions, and the methods he used in the study of world religions in his book Аl-Milal wa-n-nihal. The first part of the article gives information about the importance of the work, the second part about the methods used by Shahristani in the study of religions, and the third part about the typological and geographical methods.
