In the context of modern higher education, the formation of professionally competent specialists cannot be separated from their legal awareness and legal culture. Legal education plays a crucial role in shaping students’ professional responsibility, civic consciousness, and ethical behavior. This article examines the theoretical and practical foundations of legal education of university students during the process of professional training. Special attention is paid to the integration of legal education into professional disciplines, pedagogical mechanisms, and the role of higher education institutions in fostering legally literate and socially responsible graduates. The article analyzes existing scholarly views, discusses challenges and prospects, and proposes recommendations for improving the effectiveness of legal education in higher education.
