Abstract

This article analyzes the phenomenon of cyber addiction among modern youth, focusing on its psychological risks and preventive measures. With the rapid development of digital technologies and widespread access to the internet, young people increasingly spend excessive time online, which may lead to addictive behaviors. Cyber addiction negatively affects mental health, emotional stability, social relationships, and academic performance. The article reviews theoretical and empirical studies on cyber addiction, examines its psychological consequences, and discusses effective prevention strategies at individual, family, educational, and societal levels. The findings emphasize the importance of early diagnosis, digital literacy, and psychological support in reducing the risks associated with cyber addiction.
