Abstract

The evolution of science spans centuries, embodying the emergence of a distinct scientific tradition. From its ancient origins through the medieval universities, science progressively shaped its core attributes: rationalism, empiricism, and belief in progress. In subsequent eras, it achieved remarkable breakthroughs across natural, technical, and social domains, securing a dominant role in the global scholarly landscape. Bioethics, as an interdisciplinary field, emerged in response to swift advancements in medicine and biology—including genetics, transplantation, and biotechnology. This unbroken trajectory of development and fusion with diverse traditions—central to its genetic and evolutionary dimension—continues to underscore its relevance in the contemporary world.
