THE SYNTHESIS OF TRADITION AND MODERNITY IN SILK PRODUCT DESIGN: AN ANALYSIS BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE OF LOCAL DESIGNERS

Xoʻjamurodova Sevinch Abdilmajidovna , Student of Termez State University

Abstract

This article analyzes the issues of harmonizing tradition and modernity in the design of Uzbek silk products and how these are interpreted through the work of local designers. Silk fabrics—atlas and adras—while embodying the historical, aesthetic, and cultural memory of the Uzbek people, have not lost their relevance in today's global design trends. The study examines how these fabrics are represented in contemporary fashion, their alignment with functional design, and their compatibility with international trends.
