The transportation system plays a crucial role in the growth and accessibility of tourism destinations. Among all transportation modes, air and railway networks significantly influence the flow of tourists, shaping travel behavior, duration, and destination preferences. This paper explores the relationship between the development of air transport and rail infrastructure and the increase in both domestic and international tourism flows. Using Uzbekistan as a case study, the research highlights how improved airport capacity, regional connectivity, and modern railway services such as the “Afrosiyob” high-speed trains have positively affected tourism accessibility and regional economic development. The study also outlines the challenges of transportation infrastructure, including affordability, frequency, and service quality, providing recommendations for sustainable tourism growth through improved transport integration.
