This article examines the role of artistic imagery in constructing the semantic structure of a literary text through a linguopoetic analysis. Artistic images serve as core components that determine the aesthetic expressiveness of the text, reflecting the author’s worldview, moral–aesthetic ideas, and poetic intention. The study explores how imagery is shaped by linguistic means, the semantic relations among images, the factors defining the intertextual symbolism, and the poetic mechanisms that ensure the artistic integrity of the text. Special attention is given to the function of metaphors, symbols, metonymy, epithets, and other poetic devices in enhancing meaning and revealing deeper conceptual layers of the literary text. The article concludes that linguopoetic analysis provides an effective methodological framework for comprehensively understanding the meaning system of artistic discourse.
