This article examines the need and importance of government support for the development of small businesses and entrepreneurship. It analyzes research and scientific studies by Uzbek scholars and presents the experience of foreign countries in this area. It also examines the state of the industry's development as a result of the measures adopted to support small businesses and entrepreneurship in recent years. Practical proposals for addressing existing problems in the industry and ways to effectively address them are provided.
