It is well known that one of the leading themes of Uzbek literature during the Jadid period is connected with interpretations of the Homeland. In the poems of Enlightenment-era writers, praise of the native land is closely intertwined with ideas of freedom and liberty. This article analyses such poems by Sadriddin Ayniy and Abdurauf Fitrat and reveals their artistic features.
