In some areas, poliomyelitis is still a major public health issue despite the efforts taken worldwide to eliminate it, and the treatment of these children still needs a wide range of multidisciplinary approaches. Research findings suggested that early intervention, family-centered care, and integrated rehabilitation programs play a key role in improving the functional outcomes and quality of life of affected children to a large extent.
