Qahramonova Farzona Laziz qizi , Primary school teacher at General Secondary School No. 68, Guzar district, Kashkadarya region

Abstract

The role and significance of international assessment programs in enhancing the effectiveness of primary education are subjects of great relevance in today's rapidly globalizing world. Education systems across the globe are continuously striving to improve learning outcomes and to ensure that all children acquire the fundamental skills required for lifelong learning and productive citizenship. In this process, robust, impartial, and systematic evaluation mechanisms become indispensable tools for educators, policy-makers, and administrators alike. International assessment programs such as PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study), and PIRLS (Progress in International Reading Literacy Study) provide reliable and comparative data which serve not only to measure achievement but to inform educational policies and classroom practices. In the context of primary education, the influence of these programs extends beyond mere evaluation, shaping curricula, teacher development, resource allocation, and pedagogical emphasis, ultimately fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
