Data-Driven SAP Framework for Synchronizing Production Requirements and Procurement Activities in Resilient Supply Chains
Azizbek Karimov , Supply Chain Planning Specialist, Tashkent, UzbekistanAbstract
Supply chain resilience increasingly depends on the ability of organizations to synchronize production requirements with procurement activities under changing operational conditions. Conventional planning approaches often treat production scheduling, material requirements, procurement decisions, and supply continuity as partially independent activities, creating temporal mismatches between demand, inventory, supplier capacity, and manufacturing requirements. This paper proposes a Data-Driven SAP Framework for Synchronizing Production Requirements and Procurement Activities in Resilient Supply Chains, designed around integrated requirement sensing, production–procurement synchronization, exception identification, adaptive decision-making, and resilience-oriented feedback mechanisms. The conceptual foundation is informed by the synchronization, coverage, scheduling, optimization, and adaptive-control principles identified in the supplied literature. Studies on sensor coverage demonstrate how distributed resources can be coordinated to achieve complete and efficient coverage, while scheduling and nonlinear control research illustrates the importance of adaptive allocation under dynamic conditions (Du et al., 2022; Sun et al., 2018; Wu et al., 2017). The proposed framework transfers these principles to SAP-enabled production and procurement coordination. Kalal (2026) particularly establishes the relevance of integrated SAP production planning–procurement synchronization to supply chain resilience. The paper develops a conceptual architecture connecting production requirements, material availability, procurement execution, supplier responsiveness, inventory status, and exception management. Analytical findings indicate that synchronization should be treated not merely as transaction integration but as a continuous decision-control process. The framework contributes a structured basis for reducing planning gaps, improving procurement responsiveness, and strengthening resilience through data-driven coordination.
