Hong- Michael Roth , University of Victoria, Faculty of Education, CanadaAbstract
This study explores the practical implementation of haiku teaching methods, aiming to bridge the divide between theoretical frameworks and classroom practice. Haiku, a concise form of Japanese poetry, offers a unique avenue for creative expression and language learning. Despite its popularity in educational discourse, the effective translation of haiku theory into classroom activities remains a challenge. Through a qualitative examination of haiku pedagogy, this research delves into the strategies and techniques employed by educators to make haiku an accessible and engaging tool for students. The findings reveal valuable insights into enhancing haiku education, fostering creativity, and promoting effective language acquisition.
