Abstract

This scientific article analyzes the issues of assessing the level of glycemic compensation in patients with type 2 diabetes. The main objective of the study is to determine the level of diabetes control based on fasting and postprandial glucose levels and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels. During the study, the results of clinical and laboratory examinations were analyzed and the main factors affecting glycemic compensation were identified. The results showed that a significant proportion of patients have insufficient glycemic control, which is associated with the duration of the disease, overweight, insulin resistance, and non-adherence to medication. It was also found that rational nutrition and physical activity are important in improving glycemic compensation. The results obtained indicate the need to improve the treatment strategy based on an individual approach in patients with type 2 diabetes.
