NON-MOTOR MANIFESTATIONS IN PARKINSON'S DISEASE AND THE ROLE OF DOPAMINE RECEPTOR AGONISTS IN THEIR CORRECTION
Madjidova Y.N., Maksudova H.N., Mansurova N.A., Sharipov F.R. , Tashkent State Medical UniversityAbstract
Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized not only by motor disorders, but also by a wide range of non-motor symptoms (NMS) that significantly affect the quality of life of patients. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of dopamine receptor agonists (DRA) in correcting non-motor symptoms in PD patients. Sixty-nine patients with stage II–III disease were examined and divided into two groups: with and without DRA included in the treatment regimen. After 12 weeks of therapy, the main group showed a significant reduction in the severity of non-motor symptoms and depression and an improvement in quality of life indicators compared to the control group. The data obtained confirm the clinical feasibility of using DRA to correct non-motor manifestations of PD.
