HISTOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM: MORPHOLOGICAL ORGANIZATION, FUNCTIONAL SIGNIFICANCE AND PATHOLOGICAL CHANGES

The cardiovascular system plays a fundamental role in maintaining physiological homeostasis through continuous blood circulation and regulation of metabolic processes. Histological organization of the heart and blood vessels reflects their highly specialized functional roles. The present study analyzes the structural characteristics of the cardiovascular system with particular emphasis on the histological layers of the heart wall and vascular structures. Special attention is given to endothelial organization, myocardial architecture, and morphological changes associated with pathological conditions such as ischemia, thrombosis, and myocardial infarction. The study demonstrates that structural alterations in cardiovascular tissues significantly affect hemodynamic stability and may serve as early indicators of cardiovascular disease. Understanding the microscopic organization of these tissues provides valuable insight into mechanisms underlying cardiovascular pathology and contributes to the development of modern diagnostic and preventive strategies.
