HELMINTHS AND THEIR IMPACT ON HUMAN HEALTH
Madina Lazizovna Hamdamova , 1st year student of the Biomedical Faculty of the Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical InstituteAbstract
Helminths are parasitic worms that infect millions of people around the world and remain an important public health problem, especially in developing countries. These parasites can live in different organs of the human body and cause various diseases that negatively affect human health. The most common helminths infecting humans include Ascaris lumbricoides, Taenia saginata, and Enterobius vermicularis, which can lead to digestive disorders, weakness, malnutrition, and other pathological conditions.
Helminth infections are usually transmitted through contaminated food, water, soil, or poor hygiene practices. After entering the human body, these parasites can grow, reproduce, and disrupt the normal functioning of organs and systems. In some cases, long-term infection may cause serious complications and reduce the quality of life. Therefore, studying helminths and understanding their biological characteristics, transmission routes, and impact on the human body is very important in medical biology and parasitology.
