Abstract

Coronary artery disease (CAD) and its most severe manifestation, myocardial infarction (MI), remain the leading causes of global mortality. While traditional risk factors (hypertension, smoking, diabetes) are well-known, they do not fully explain why some individuals with "ideal" profiles suffer premature MI.
