Abstract

Stress-induced cardiomyopathy (SIC), widely known as Takotsubo Syndrome (TTS), has evolved from a perceived benign condition into a complex acute cardiac syndrome with significant morbidity and mortality. Characterized by transient left ventricular apical ballooning, its clinical presentation frequently mimics acute myocardial infarction (AMI). In the last decade, and particularly in the post-pandemic era (2020–2026), the global incidence of TTS has seen a documented surge, necessitating a deeper understanding of the neuro-cardiac axis.
