Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) remains a cornerstone in the management of hematologic malignancies, offering curative potential for a wide spectrum of disorders including leukemias, lymphomas, and myelodysplastic syndromes. Over the past decade, significant advances in transplant biology, donor selection, conditioning regimens, and supportive care have substantially improved patient outcomes and expanded transplant eligibility. The emergence of reduced-intensity conditioning has enabled older and comorbid patients to undergo transplantation with acceptable toxicity profiles, while haploidentical transplantation and improved donor registries have increased donor availability worldwide.
Keywords
Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) represents one of the most significant therapeutic advances in modern oncology, offering curative potential for patients afflicted with various hematologic malignancies.
