Abstract

This article discusses the influence of external factors on the embryonic development of the aorta and the main congenital defects of the aorta. The negative effects of maternal infections, harmful habits, medications, environmental factors, and metabolic disorders on fetal aortic formation are analyzed. In addition, the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and diagnostic methods of major congenital anomalies such as aortic coarctation, aortic stenosis, and aortic arch abnormalities are described. The importance of early diagnosis and prevention of congenital cardiovascular defects is emphasized.
