Sushma Soni , Department Of Pathology, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, IndiaAbstract
Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) has emerged as a valuable diagnostic tool for assessing neoplastic cutaneous nodular skin lesions. This study presents insights gleaned from a tertiary care institute's experience in utilizing FNAC for skin lesion diagnosis. The research sheds light on the effectiveness and utility of FNAC in accurately diagnosing skin neoplasms, offering a non-invasive alternative to surgical biopsies. Through a comprehensive analysis of patient cases, diagnostic accuracy rates, and the correlation of FNAC results with histopathological findings, this study underscores the importance of FNAC in streamlining the diagnostic process, reducing patient discomfort, and facilitating prompt clinical decision-making in dermatological practice.
