Water is one of the most vital natural resources essential for the survival of all living organisms. However, rapid industrialization, urbanization, and agricultural activities have led to the pollution of water resources, causing serious ecological and health problems. Contamination by heavy metals, pesticides, plastics, and untreated wastewater not only deteriorates water quality but also disrupts aquatic ecosystems and threatens human well-being. This study discusses the main sources and consequences of water pollution, as well as practical measures for the protection and sustainable management of water resources. Emphasis is placed on wastewater treatment, recycling technologies, strict environmental regulations, and public awareness campaigns as effective solutions to ensure safe and clean water for future generations.
