
CHILDHOOD OBESITY: CLINICAL FEATURES, COMPLICATIONS, AND MANAGEMENT

Childhood obesity has become one of the most serious public health challenges of the 21st century, with rapidly increasing prevalence across both developed and developing countries. It is associated with numerous comorbidities, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and psychosocial problems. This article reviews the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, complications, diagnostic approaches, and management strategies for childhood obesity. Emphasis is placed on prevention and lifestyle modification as key interventions in reducing the long-term burden of this condition.
