This article is devoted to the problem of frequently ill children, the analysis of causal factors, in particular, disorders of the immune system, and the principles of including children in the group of frequently ill children. When including a child in the group of frequently ill children, it is necessary to take into account the severity of each acute respiratory infection, the presence of complications, the duration of the intervals between episodes of acute respiratory infections, and the need to use antibiotics in the acute period.
