COMPARATIVE AND CONTRASTIVE LINGUISTICS ISSUES: MEDIALINGUISTICS AND LINGUISTIC RESEARCH

Qarshiyeva Sevinch , Uzbekistan State World Languages University 3rd year student

Abstract

This article examines the intersection of comparative and contrastive linguistics with medialinguistics, exploring how media discourse shapes linguistic research methodologies and cross-linguistic analysis. The findings indicate that integrating medialinguistic perspectives enriches traditional contrastive analysis by incorporating sociolinguistic, pragmatic, and discourse-analytical dimensions essential for understanding contemporary language use in media environments.
