Nurmukhamedova Maftuna Ulugbekovna , Lecturer at ORIENTAL UniversityAbstract
This article explores the aesthetic relationship between nature and human in the literature of the Great Silk Road. It highlights how natural imagery expresses harmony, spirituality, and the unity of man and nature in classical Eastern literary traditions. In Eastern literature, the depiction of nature is viewed not only as an external landscape but also as an artistic means of expressing the inner emotions of the human soul. Poets and writers saw in nature a symbol of beauty, purity, and divine order. Images such as the growth of a tree, the flow of water, the sound of the wind, or the light of the sun are portrayed in close connection with human life, hope, and spiritual renewal. Therefore, nature in Eastern literature is interpreted as a source of artistic and spiritual harmony.
The literary traditions that spread along the Great Silk Road united the worldviews of many nations. As a result of the cultural exchanges that took place along this route, perspectives on nature and humanity were shaped into common aesthetic principles. For instance, in Persian literature, nature is a symbol of love and virtue; in Turkic literature, it represents life and willpower; while in Chinese literature, the harmony between man and nature is profoundly expressed through the philosophy of “Dao.”
Such an aesthetic interpretation of the image of nature encourages a person to gain a deeper understanding of their existence, inner world, and connection with nature. Therefore, the artistic reflection of the relationship between man and nature in the literature of the Great Silk Road has not lost its relevance today; on the contrary, it stands as an important aesthetic value that forms the foundation of modern ecological thought.
