University of Cambridge – as a global center for science and religious studies 1.1 Relevance of the topic and the prestige of the University of Cambridge In today's era of globalization and intensified intercultural dialogue, the field of Religious Studies has become not only theoretical knowledge but a strategic direction ensuring social stability. At a time when issues of religious radicalism, inter-confessional conflicts, and religious tolerance are urgent worldwide, it is extremely important to study the experience of the world's leading scientific centers.
Keywords
University of Cambridge Founded in 1209, it has been the center of the world's intellectual heritage for over 800 years. The university has a unique confederative structure uniting 31 colleges and more than 150 departments. Its Faculty of Divinity is one of the oldest and most prestigious divisions of the university. It regularly ranks among the top three in the world (QS World University Rankings) for scientific analysis of religion, critical study of sacred texts, and sociological-philosophical illumination of the role of religion in society. The uniqueness of Cambridge is that religion here is not just an object of faith, but a subject of research studied on the basis of rigorous academic methodology.
