Saydullayeva Dilrabo , Doctoral Researcher, Samarkand State University named after Sharof RashidovAbstract
This article analyzes the formation and stages of development of the Turkic tazkira tradition, as well as the literary-critical views reflected in it. In particular, the aesthetic criteria, attitudes toward the personality of the poet, and the principles of evaluating artistic mastery put forward in Alisher Navoi’s tazkiras Majolis un-nafois and Nasoyim ul-muhabbat are examined. Furthermore, the continuity of the Turkic tazkira tradition and the specific features of literary-critical thought within it are revealed through the example of Sodiqiy Afshor’s tazkira Majma’ ul-havos. The article substantiates that tazkiras are not only literary sources but also important scholarly sources for studying the history of literary criticism and literary thought.
