Ingliz tilining global miqyosda tarqalishi uning xilma-xil variantlarini paydo qildi, bu esa an'anaviy Ingliz Tilini O'qitish (ITO) paradigmalarini qayta ko'rib chiqishni taqozo etadi. Ushbu maqola ingliz tili variantlarining amaliy va pedagogik ahamiyatini bir tutilgan tilga yondashuvdan tashqarida o'rganadi. Unda Jahon Ingliz tillari (JIT), Lingua Franca sifatidagi Ingliz tili (LFI) va Xalqaro til sifatidagi Ingliz tili (XIT) bo'yicha joriy tadqiqotlar sintez qilinib, ularning muloqot, o'quv dasturlarini ishlab chiqish, materiallar tayyorlash va o'qituvchilar ta'limiga ta'siri tanqidiy ko'rib chiqiladi. Pedagogik jihatlar til xilma-xilligini qamrab oluvchi, tanqidiy til ongini rivojlantiruvchi va o'quvchilarni real hayotda ingliz tilidan foydalanishga tayyorlovchi inklyuziv o'quv dasturlariga ehtiyojni ta'kidlaydi. Nihoyat, u siyosatga oid ta'sirlarni muhokama qilib, ingliz tili variantlarining dinamik tabiatini global ITO amaliyotlariga kiritishni qo'llab-quvvatlaydigan tizimlarni ilgari suradi.
