Chronic pain is a persistent pain that lasts for more than three months and often persists beyond the normal healing process. It can be caused by various medical conditions such as arthritis, nerve damage, or chronic illnesses. Chronic pain affects both physical and mental well-being, leading to reduced quality of life. Effective management requires a combination of medical treatment, physical therapy, and psychological support. This paper discusses the causes, mechanisms, and clinical significance of chronic pain.
