This article analyzes the origin, stages of formation, and the history of the development of volleyball on a global scale based on scientific sources. It also examines the popularization of volleyball as an international sport, the improvement of its rules, and the formation of the international competition system. In addition, the stages of development of volleyball in Uzbekistan are discussed. Historical, comparative, and analytical methods were used in the research process.
