This article analyzes the legal status of women in the system of state and public governance, their participation in political and social life, as well as issues of ensuring gender equality. It also examines national and international legal frameworks aimed at increasing women's activity in governance, existing problems, and ways to address them. The article substantiates that expanding women's rights and opportunities is an important factor in achieving societal development.
