This scientific article provides an in-depth analysis of the semantic and stylistic features of phraseological units in the Russian language. It examines the role of phraseologisms within the language system, their semantic structure, mechanisms of figurative meaning formation, stylistic functions, and their role in enhancing expressiveness in speech. The study also highlights the significance of phraseological units in reflecting national and cultural characteristics, as well as their usage in literary, journalistic, and colloquial speech. The research findings contribute to the enrichment of theoretical perspectives in Russian linguistics and general phraseology.
