This article analyzes the socio-psychological adaptation of young specialists at the initial stage of their professional activity and the role of the level of self-esteem of the individual in this process. The article provides a comparative analysis of the impact of adequate, low and high self-esteem on adaptive capabilities. Based on the results of the study, psychological recommendations for developing the adaptive potential of young personnel have been developed.
