Abstract

Digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming preschool education by enabling personalized learning, enhancing teacher efficiency, supporting inclusive practices, and fostering early digital literacy. This article explores the integration of these technologies in preschool settings, with a focus on global trends and specific developments in Uzbekistan. Drawing on international research and national policy documents like the "Ilk Qadam" state curriculum and the "Digital Uzbekistan 2030" strategy, it examines benefits such as adaptive learning tools, AI-powered assessment, and interactive resources, alongside challenges including digital divides, data privacy, and the need to preserve play-based learning. The study highlights how balanced implementation can improve cognitive, social-emotional, and creative development in young children while supporting educators and parents. Evidence from pilots (e.g., Eduten platform) and policy initiatives demonstrates measurable gains in learning outcomes. Recommendations emphasize ethical guidelines, teacher training, and equitable access to maximize positive impacts.
