This article analyzes modern approaches to communicative language teaching, particularly in teaching English as a foreign language. The author highlights the importance of developing communicative competence, motivation, and interactive methods in language learning. In addition, the main principles of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), the roles of teachers and learners, and the development of speech activity in the language learning process are discussed. The article also emphasizes the effectiveness of using authentic materials, encouraging independent thinking, and creating a real communicative environment in modern education.
