This study aims to examine the relationship between attitudes toward physical education and sports and digital game playing motivation, as well as to determine whether attitudes toward physical education and sports predict digital game playing motivation. Additionally, differences based on gender were analyzed. The study was conducted using a quantitative research model with a sample of 20 high school students. Data were collected using a personal information form, the attitude toward physical education and sports scale, and the digital game playing motivation scale. Pearson correlation, regression analysis, and independent samples t-test were used for data analysis. The findings revealed a significant and strong negative relationship between attitudes toward physical education and sports and digital game playing motivation. Furthermore, attitudes toward physical education and sports were found to negatively predict digital game playing motivation, explaining 25% of the variance. In terms of gender differences, male students showed significantly higher attitudes toward physical education and sports, while female students demonstrated higher digital game playing motivation. In conclusion, attitudes toward physical education and sports are an important predictor of digital game playing motivation. An increase in positive attitudes toward physical education and sports is associated with a decrease in digital game playing motivation.
