Abstract

Phonetics, or the study of speech sounds, is important in improving effective communication because it bridges the gap between spoken language and comprehension. This article delves into how phonetic principles influence pronunciation, intonation, stress, and rhythm in communication, with a focus on practical applications in language learning, technology, and interpersonal relationships. By investigating the relationship between phonetics and intelligibility, this study emphasizes the importance of phonetic awareness in creating clear, accurate, and meaningful communication.
