THE IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING CREATIVE WRITING IN ENGLISH CLASSES

Abstract

Creative writing plays a crucial role in English education, offering students an opportunity to enhance their linguistic, cognitive, and emotional development. This article examines the importance of integrating creative writing into English classes, highlighting its benefits for language acquisition, critical thinking, self-expression, and academic performance. The paper also explores the pedagogical approaches that can be used to foster creativity in students, as well as the long-term advantages that creative writing can have on their personal and academic growth.
