The article is devoted to the phenomenon of the ladies' novel of the 90s, which gained special popularity in post-Soviet society and became one of the most sought-after genres among the female audience. The article explores the reasons why the ladies' novel became a cult novel, its role in the lives of women of that time, as well as the themes and images that attracted the attention of readers.
