In this article, the main spelling rules of the Uzbek language and their place in the modern language culture are widely covered. The importance of spelling rules in teaching the Uzbek language and the formation of written speech, problems arising from non-compliance with these rules, as well as recommendations for their practical application are given. The article is useful for linguists, teachers, students and other professionals working with written speech.
