The article analyzes the impact of the regional political movements called the “Arab Spring” on political processes in Egypt. These events led to the collapse of the authoritarian regime in Egypt, the emergence of large-scale social protests and demands for reform. The article examines the processes of the 2011 revolution, the change of government and the aspirations for democratic reforms. It also examines the new political balance that emerged as a result of the “Arab Spring”, the role of opposition groups and the local and global impact of the movements. The study reveals the threats to political stability in Egypt and the impact of these processes on regional politics.
