Working with dictionaries in teaching the native language in this article is an opportunity for students to develop all the basic competencies. Dictionaries are considered a useful tool for the development of speech. With the help of vocabulary, readers enrich, identify and activate vocabulary. They get acquainted with the lexical meaning of words, master grammatical forms, learn the correct spelling pronunciation and follow the normative accent in words.
