This article examines the significance of syntactic analysis in computational linguistics, focusing specifically on the concepts of collocations and valence. It discusses how these linguistic phenomena contribute to the understanding of sentence structure and meaning, and highlights their applications in natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI). The article also outlines recent advancements in the field and suggests directions for future research.
