
LINGUOCULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF FOOTBALL FANS' SPEECH

This paper investigates the linguocultural characteristics of football fans' speech, examining how language used by football fans reflects and shapes their cultural identities and community bonds. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach that combines elements of sociolinguistics, cultural studies, and discourse analysis, this study analyzes fan speech in live games, online forums, and social media platforms. The findings reveal a unique lexicon enriched with jargon and slang, which serves various social functions including expressing solidarity, enacting rivalries, and engaging with cultural narratives. The study highlights the dynamic nature of fan language and its role in both reflecting and shaping broader cultural and societal dynamics.
