This article investigates how smart management practices in the tourism sector can serve as a strategic tool for economic diversification in emerging destinations. With many regions seeking to reduce dependence on traditional industries, tourism offers a sustainable pathway to broaden economic activity. The research explores the integration of digital technologies, innovative service design, and strategic planning frameworks to strengthen tourism management. Through qualitative analysis, the study examines global and regional cases where smart tourism initiatives have enhanced economic outcomes, especially in areas undergoing structural transformation. Recommendations are provided for aligning tourism policy with broader economic development goals.
